A quick way to "See" what your techs are recommending, both too often and too seldom. Each shop will have different averages, for instance a shop in the north east may see rusted brakes an average of 30% of the time whereas a car in Arizona may never need rusted brakes replaced. Each shop is different and this report allows you to see what your averages are and pinpoint techs that are not looking at specific items as well as the occasional tech that is over-recommending something based on his likes and dislikes.
By showing the percentage of times an item is recommended, we can see those habits. For instance:
Brake Fluid Exchange, If it is recommended that the brake fluid be changed every 2 years, and you see your customers an average of twice a year, that would mean you should be recommending the service once every four visits, or 25% of the time. Given that an average shop has a 20% new customer rate, and those vehicles may have not been maintained properly, that could bring your average recommendation rate to around 30%. In this scenario, I would expect to see a range of 25% to 35% recommendation. If it's too high, you know your tech is not basing his recommendations on facts, but a job that he likes to do. If it's too low, you know that the tech is not looking for that service. Either way, it's a disservice to your customer and your bottom line.
